Clean Water for Thousands
In 2022, Hope of Punjab in collaboration with Khalsa Aid International installed 500 hand pumps across flood-affected areas of Rajanpur. These hand pumps provide sustainable clean drinking water access to thousands of families whose water sources were contaminated or destroyed by devastating floods.
Clean water is fundamental — it prevents waterborne diseases, supports daily living, and helps communities recover faster after disasters. Before the installation of these hand pumps, families were forced to drink contaminated floodwater, leading to outbreaks of cholera, typhoid, and other deadly waterborne illnesses.
Each hand pump serves multiple families and is built to last, providing a long-term solution rather than a temporary fix. This project represents one of the most impactful clean water initiatives in the region, transforming the lives of entire communities across Rajanpur.
